At the Town Council’s Annual General Meeting in May, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the council year 2025/2026 were elected. The Mayor (Chair of Council) for 2025/2026 is Councillor Matt Lofts, supported by his Mayoress, Mrs Katie Lofts; and the Deputy Mayor (Vice Chair of Council) for 2025/2026 is Councillor Catherine Nnamdi, supported by her consort Mr Nnamdi Ekugbah.
